Just wanted to put together a few very well deserved words as a testimonial to the excellent work you and your colleague (Gary) carried out undertaking the felling of the tree in our garden.
Given the tree's size and location (at the bottom of our garden, overhanging 3 other gardens and being approximately 80 to 100ft tall with a huge canopy), I must admit to be somewhat apprehensive as to how the work was going to be completed - given that each garden had sheds and other items of garden furniture located underneath the tree.
However, having spent the time watching as the felling progressed, I would like to say how thoroughly impressed I was with your standard of work, professionalism and relentless effort to ensure it was removed safely and with no damage to any shrubs or surrounding property.
I found the whole experience fascinating to watch, especially how you ensured each and every limb was removed and lowered exactly into the position you had set aside.
The debris was removed through our side gate and the work and effort in having to manhandle it all away was again a feat in itself given how much there was and the heat you both had to work in.
Throughout the felling, the only debris to have fallen in the adjoining gardens was sawdust - a testament to your expertise.
Our garden has been left actually tidier than it was prior to you commencing the work and our neighbours are all very grateful as you went round and cleared up the sawdust from their gardens.
You really don't appreciate what a difference the tree's removal has made to us as a family and to that of our adjoining neighbours - especially given how rotten it turned out to be.
At all times, you were both very courteous and polite and were more than happy to answer any questions I had and I would have no hesitation in recommending you and your colleague to anyone requiring tree work to be carried out in the future.
In fact I contacted the Colchester Borough Council Tree Planning Officer to let him know what an extremely professional job you did.
